Walker collected these materials in 1986 while writing a manuscript on the student disturbances that occurred while he was president. Information covers the administration's reaction to protests, demands, and demonstrations. Types of materials include court documents, correspondence, news clippings, personal file notes, manuscript drafts, and manuscript notes. Series 1 contains the original office files Walker used during his administration. This includes correspondence, personal file notes, lectures, administrative policies, and news clippings, 1965-1986. Series 2 contains the materials Walker generated while writing the manuscript on student disturbances. This includes many handwritten notes, personal notes, chapters, and sections of the manuscript. It also includes interviews with people involved in the administration's side of the disturbance (Robert Bernreuter, Judge R. Paul Campbell, Ross Lehman, Arthur O. Lewis, Stanley Weintraub, and Judge Roy Wilkinson) and a timeline of headlines and articles on student disturbances at Penn State, 1963-1971.
